The idea of twin flames goes back thousands of years. I don’t think anyone knows who first spoke of this idea, but it is the truth of our existence. The concept is not confined to any human definition.
In ancient Kabbalistic wisdom, the idea of twin souls is all about our journey here in physical reality. The soul split into two twin souls and then fell from the higher realms of existence to experience the life of lower vibrations. This is the journey of the soul outlined in ancient spiritual belief systems — shown in the Tarot and astrological philosophy. There is a divine counterpart for everyone here on Earth, embodied as the opposite sex. This is the same as the idea of Adam and Eve.

Yes, you have a twin flame. But will you meet them while you’re alive on Earth? That isn’t guaranteed or even necessary. The real spiritual work is done on a higher plane of existence, and you may not cross paths with your twin flame. It’s my belief that when you do some soul work on your own to ascend — to find oneness — you signal to your twin soul that you are ready to meet in physical form. And that is when the miracle of “reunion” occurs — when you cross paths in a seemingly coincidental way.
You attract your twin flame when you are awakening. That energy is unmistakable and sends out a huge surge of high vibrations into the universe. Unseen forces know how to organize your world into what seems like impossibly unlikely situations to your human perception. But trust that everything is always happening exactly as it’s meant to happen. If you’ve met your twin flame, it’s no accident.
After you’ve crossed paths here on the Earth plane, does it mean you’ll come together in a harmonious relationship? This is unclear. Sometimes, it’s possible, and sometimes, that is not the point.
You must continue on your journey of healing and understanding life for yourself. You will meet your twin soul on the higher planes.
You have to live for yourself and your happiness can’t depend on meeting this person. But isn’t it nice to know that you do have a divine counterpart somewhere out there? Perhaps they live next door. Perhaps they’re someone you’ve known most of your life but lost touch with until now. Perhaps they are no longer in physical form, but in spirit. Whatever and wherever they are, just knowing they exist can sometimes be enough to keep us motivated on the spiritual path of enlightenment.
The goal is not to find and meet your twin flame. The goal is to keep awakening and understanding the self.
