I’ve met a lot of people in my work who understand that the twin flame experience is about something greater than themselves — it’s about discovering universal love and oneness. That’s why it still shocks me when I come across people who are so focused on the nitty-gritty details of the relationship with this person that they can’t see the forest for the trees. So, do you always end up with your twin flame? The point isn’t to try to “end up” with your twin flame.

The universe arranges situations for you that are exactly what you need at the current level of your soul evolution. You attract in the lessons that you’re ready for right now. Spiritually, we all have to keep growing and understanding more about ourselves and the nature of love.

It may not be the universe’s intention for you to be in a committed, long-term relationship with this person. The purpose of this awakening in your life is to push you to a higher level of consciousness. If the situation does not promote this growth in you, then what would be the reason for it to happen in your current lifetime?
The Purpose of the Experience
We are here in human form to experience all of this for a purpose. It’s not just to play around or to achieve a life of luxury and ease. There must be heartache. There must be pain. These are the experiences that cause us to wake up. They make us wiser and stronger, and the lessons we learn in each lifetime are carried energetically with us throughout our eternal existence.
I don’t take this lightly. I am not here to just exist or to be a useless human being. I am not here to obsess over another person to get them to be in a relationship with me. I am here for greater things, and so are you.
This twin flame experience gives us a great opportunity for healing. It causes so much chaos in our lives that we have no choice but to find a way to survive and thrive while coexisting with the idea that this person may never physically be “with” us. (They’re always with us on higher planes, so there’s no need to worry.)
Self-Love and Transcendence
We are pushed to find self-love. There is no other option presented to us in this twin flame journey. Your twin flame is so perfect for you, thrills every fiber of your being, and makes you feel at home in their presence, and yet, something seems to present a barrier to being in a harmonious relationship.
Sometimes I have heard of people who successfully lived many years with their twin flames, so it’s not impossible, but everything comes to an end on this plane anyway. Here, everything is temporary. Everyone in physical form dies eventually.
What endures is the energy you carry. You have to see that through the experience of meeting your twin flame, you are given a unique gift. You can choose to embody the energy of a soul that knows what true love is, and acts accordingly. You can use this experience to spread more love and teach others what it really means.
Alternatively, you can keep pursuing a path of obsession, chasing, unhappiness, and loneliness because you feel incomplete. The choice is yours.
Your reality is created by your mind, and when you choose to work on your self-love, you transcend, ascend, and reach the next level of your existence.
