I’ve come to understand how easy it is to manifest the life of my dreams. There is very little standing between me and the best life ever. To have what I desire, I must eliminate my limiting thoughts, my fears, and my negative tendencies. My mind must be pure. This is just the first step, but it’s a big one.

Lots of people will argue that you have to embrace the darkness and the “natural” thoughts in your mind. But they are not to be indulged in. Our minds naturally gravitate toward fears and worries. We like to watch the news and get worked up, we like to attach ourselves to issues and arguments because we feel like it gives us purpose to be mad all the time. But it doesn’t help you — trust me. Let the anger go.

The same goes for worries and fears about the future — pushing you to compulsively guard yourself against your own health and financial future. You can acknowledge that your mind wants to stay mad and afraid without allowing these ideas to take over your life.

You have to learn to “push off” from the negative and use these thoughts to go back toward the light. We must encounter opposition to strengthen our resolve toward goodness and love. The universe provides you with a multitude of opportunities to recognize your negative thoughts and then choose positive ones.

What is Mental Alchemy?

Mental alchemy is all about changing your mindset to change your whole life. You start within. The world around you responds to the topography and fabric of your consciousness.

Miracles begin to happen when you believe that the world is a wondrous place. Good fortune finds you when you believe you’re a lucky and worthy person. Prosperity arrives when you have positive thoughts about the future. Your personal soul evolution depends upon your awareness that your mind is the key and the solution to all of your problems always resided within yourself.

You can stop searching. The answers were always in you. You just have to learn to choose the light.

Fear and Control

Letting go of fear is about realizing what you control. You have total control over your own mind.

This is how my spiritual journey began as a teenager. I discovered the idea that my school textbooks and all the media in my life would never admit to me: that I can determine what’s in my mind. I alone have the power to change my sadness into happiness and to find the good in every difficult situation.

I can access bliss when I feel like it. I have to just release the idea that other people are making the world a horrible place. I have to stop giving away my power to outside people and circumstances. My feelings and thoughts are my own. Blaming the state of my mind on the outside world is a form of escapism.

You Can Choose to Be Happy

To change your world, you have to embrace the hard reality that all of your problems were always creations in your mind. This is why “happy” people can be so upbeat all of the time — they have created an inner environment that is full of positivity and love instead of fear and worry.

It’s difficult to release the anger and fear you’ve held all this time because you feel like it’s part of your identity. You feel validated in your reactions to things. You think it’s normal for someone or something outside yourself to ruin your day or get you worked up. You think it’s natural for outside circumstances to cause you anxiety. You have given away your power to an unpredictable world, agreeing to have ups and downs and be flung along with the currents and waves of life. You allow your happiness to depend on things outside your control, and that is terrifying, so you are terrified of life.

You have been conditioned to expect the worst and to be angry about situations. You’ve given away your power to illusory things — allowing the world to be horrible willingly. Imagine that!

But the world isn’t horrible. The judgment in your mind of the world is that it’s horrible. But ideas can change and you can adopt a new mindset. It’s never too late.

This is mental alchemy — changing your inner world so that the outer world can change. Once you master the ability to change your thoughts at any time, the possibilities, you’ll find, are limitless.
