What is the meaning of true love? Love isn’t easy for a reason: it is the greatest treasure of all. It’s what we all desire most. Approaching it as complex human beings, love has many barriers. Only through human incarnation can the oneness of consciousness understand itself. Love seems so simple in its purest form, and yet, when manifested on Earth through human expression, it is often so complex.
Love is pure. Humans are messy. That’s the paradox of the search for love.
We all seek love. In the depths of each of our souls, there is a longing for it. That’s because we are living manifestations of the universe, and the universe seeks love. We all want to be loved. And we want our love to be desired by others.
Pre-Birth Memories
We each also have a buried memory of the experience between lives. The memory of real love exists in the expanse that precedes birth. Between incarnations, we exist in a realm where love is easy and obvious. But when we come here, we are taken from that peaceful state into a place of confusion so that we can have the thrill of finding love despite it all. The memory of real love lives in each of us even if we don’t know why.
There is great love and understanding in the spiritual realm. We innately know that this type of divine love exists, even if many of us have no recollection of its feeling while we’re here in human form.
Wounds and Insecurities
We know we seek love. But our childhood traumas and horrific memories from past lives fester within us. The wounds can’t be healed when they’re pushed away into the backs of our minds and the subconscious realm. This is where true love comes in. Love is a healer.
To heal, the wounds must be seen.
If you’ve discovered a pure, real form of love, you will inevitably find that the hurt from the past re-appears in front of you at the same time. Love brings with it these unhealed wounds. They were always there, but love gives the opportunity to finally heal them. That’s why love is a miracle.
Real love isn’t simple or straightforward. It comes parallel with challenges. If it were easy, it wouldn’t be worth aiming for.
So, your past wounds may become more painful, obvious, or debilitating when you meet the love of your life. Things that have prevented you from approaching love in the past are now a big problem. Your communication style, emotional availability, and mental stability may come into question. Real love is worth it to work through these issues, which is why love is hard.
