When it comes to twin flames, the only thing I’m sure of is this: just when you think you have it figured out, it surprises you. The twin flame experience defies the “rules” that we have placed on our human lives and even the laws of nature. I’m the founder of a twin flame support group that is growing, and I get to hear twin flame stories every day. I can assure you, there are no rules. Twin flames just don’t make sense and part of the journey is to challenge you to let go of all expectations. Twin flames are just crazy.
Humanity likes to make sense of things. We have ego minds that thrive on order and control. We want to be able to predict outcomes. With twin flames, we want to think that there is always a logical ending, like a fairytale, where the two twin flames always end up together. We want to believe that if we are good, we will get to be with our twin flames because if not, this story is terrifying. We hope that if we follow certain rules about healing, then we will be rewarded.
When you’ve met your twin flame, your wildest dream is to end up with them somehow. You’d do anything for this to happen. The twin flame coaches and guides of YouTube know this and they’ll do anything to get you to pay them to tell you the exact steps to get your twin flame back. But I am not convinced that it works like this. We can’t predict what will happen. People are unpredictable and this is even more true with twin flames.
It would be so nice if the world was exactly the way we wanted it to be, but it’s not. It’s confusing as all hell.
I’m a twin flame coach but I don’t tell people that “all you have to do is heal and your twin flame will appear.” I don’t tell people things that I personally don’t believe. You can control nobody but yourself.
The Soul Wants to Learn
What makes sense to the soul doesn’t always make sense to us as humans. For the soul, one lifetime that’s full of heartache goes a long way in terms of what the soul can learn. Pain is what the soul seeks in human life because this is a university for the soul. The soul makes huge strides on a twin flame journey, especially if you find a way to rise above the suffering and live happily without your twin flame physically next to you.
The challenge as a twin flame is to let go. We have to surrender all assumptions and attachments. We can’t have expectations — even about how our healing will bring our twin flames back into our lives.
Twin Flame Healing
All I know for sure is that we should all heal. We shouldn’t do it with a purpose in mind beyond our own self-love. When you heal in order to be rewarded, the universe doesn’t seem to respond well. Part of healing is knowing how to do it for the right reasons.
Anything you do out of desperation is sending out the energy of fear into the world. What you put out comes back to you; you attract energy like that which is inside you.
Heal yourself from the need of having this person in your life as your partner. Don’t forget to also heal yourself from the expectation that things always have to make sense. Twin flames are crazy – try to get used to that and live with it.
It Won’t Make Sense
What I tell my clients is this: twin flames don’t make sense. The only person you can control is you. Focus on you. Heal for you. Understand how this person is mirroring you and what they’re showing you about yourself. Release all of your expectations about how things are supposed to unfold.
Get better and learn to be happy no matter who is with you. Live in gratitude; live in the present moment. Let the twin flame phenomenon fuel the fire within you to live an extraordinary life.
