Dreams are a big part of the twin flame journey. When you dream about your twin flame or about certain symbols, you have to pay attention to the spiritual messages contained within them. Twin flame dreams can help you understand a lot about what you’re going through.

You need to realize that dreams aren’t literal. Even the symbolism can be elusive. Especially with twin flames, it can be hard to decipher the dreams. So, I’ve included four types of dreams I’ve encountered, and through my own twin flame journey, I have deciphered. I was able to analyze and verify these explanations myself.

These are dream interpretations that can help you understand your journey. However, as with all things, the most important part of dream interpretation is to feel it with your own intuition. This is never more true than when dealing with a twin flame situation. Only you can really know what’s going on within you. Twin flame dreams are yours to interpret.

1. The Journey and Mission

Any representation of transportation in dreams with your twin flame gives you a view into your path together, which can seem very separate in physical, waking reality.

For instance, when you dream about being in a car with your twin flame, this is about your journey together. Pay attention to who is driving — this is significant because it tells you who is more in control of where the spiritual path leads. You could also be walking a path together or passing each other on it — and even on a river in a boat or on an airplane. Any kind of vehicle of transportation signifies your journey.

Sometimes you end up meeting each other on the most unexpected of paths. I dreamt of meeting my twin flame on a dirt trail before I ever met him in this lifetime.

Dreams about working alongside your twin flame on a mission can also tell you some important messages. When you dream about working together on something — such as fighting a battle or looking at plans on paper — you’re getting a glimpse of the mission you have together. In this lifetime and many others, you have something you’re here to do. Sometimes in dreams, you have to meet and discuss these things — or stand up for them against the enemy. This is your way of working together for the greater good.

2. Spiritual Communication

Many people dream that their twin flame is sending them messages. I used to dream that I was getting texts from my twin and they were things like “I’m going to talk to you soon” — reassurances that he’d be back. And he did come back.

You might also have a dream where you’re talking, having a face-to-face conversation. Twin flames meet in the astral plane to work things out about the spiritual journey. Anyone who has met their twin flame knows that we don’t just turn off our brains when we go to sleep — our spirits go to another plane and mingle.

In your dreams, you are able to interact with your twin flame. You might get answers — often cryptic ones — that you’ve been hoping for. You’re both working things out on your own that will help you calibrate to each other and grow.

Just a tip here: If you want to have a communication dream, try setting an intention and asking for it out loud every night before you go to sleep.

3. Possible Futures or Past Lives

You may have a dream where you’re somewhere you’ve never seen in this life with people that you don’t know in your current waking manifestation. I always see these types of dreams as past life “memories” — or perhaps they are simultaneously happening. Time isn’t real, after all. They could also be things that may happen in another manifestation.

Especially when you dream that your twin flame actually looks like someone totally different, this is significant. It means you’ve embodied different characters before together. You span many lifetimes. We’ve all been both genders and in all kinds of cultures. Take it as a message that you should have faith that the universe is working itself out through you, and everything is happening just as it needs to be happening.

4. Union

Have you dreamt of swans? Swan dreams are big. It means you will reunite with your twin flame. Swans represent such loyal, commitment-oriented creatures. They also represent love.

If you don’t dream of swans, but instead of twin animals or couples of animals, it’s also a sign of union. The universe sends us these archetypes to reassure us that hope is not lost. Things are happening as they should — in divine timing. Don’t give up hope. Union is coming.

I should add that if you see these symbols in waking life, they mean the same thing. The universe communicates through the same spiritual symbolism in waking and dreaming life. Read about twin flame love signs here.
