I know it’s tempting to attach yourself to “external” things to guide you on your spiritual journey, but you have to remember that this is your path to walk. There are signposts, guides, and catalysts in your environment that will help you along the way. But in the end, the world exists as a mirror of your internal journey, and you have to understand that nothing outside you can take the place of your inner voice. The answers you seek are within you.

Gurus and Relationships

Your spiritual journey is not dependent on someone else. You should rely only on yourself for answers.

No guru can lead you down your path — only you can walk it. They can open a door for you, but to rely on them to get to a higher plane of consciousness would be to get very attached. You don’t need them. You have your own inner wisdom to guide you. If you listen to too much outside noise to know the way, you will drown out the voice within.

No relationship can get you to where you need to be, even that of a twin flame. It is your path to walk alone. Relationships exist as mirrors for us, so that we can understand the self. They are useful for the journey because they help us see what needs to change inside. The shadow is deeply mirrored in your closest relationships, which is a blessing. You know how to proceed and where to heal because of the people you love. But they cannot move with you along your path.

The path is for you and you alone to walk.

Things and Situations

Your spiritual rituals are not the catalyst for your ascension. Your consciousness does not elevate because you did yoga or attended a retreat in Mexico. The crystals you keep in your home aren’t attracting good things into your life. The full moon ceremony you performed didn’t bring you greater opportunities.

You did that.

When you burn sage, the smoke doesn’t alter the energy in your environment — you are doing that with your intentions and mind. The Tarot cards carry power because we imbue them with that vibration. The spiritual actions you take shouldn’t just be during astrological events and during “portals” opening — each and every minute, you should fill your choices with spiritual intention.

Your everyday actions and practices matter because you’re doing them. You’re the key ingredient here.

If you didn’t have all of the spiritual objects like crystals and images of deities in your home, your spiritual path wouldn’t be altered. These are physical representations of things inside you. All you need is your own energy to create a meaningful spiritual path.

You Have So Much Power

Your spiritual path toward higher soul evolution is happening because of you. You always had all the answers. You always knew what to do.

Taking time to focus on your powerful inner energy is all that really matters. Luckily, any of us can meditate anywhere at any time because all you need is your own consciousness. The simplest things on the spiritual journey are the most important.

You can’t take time off from your soul journey. It is always going on. If you only practice spirituality at certain designated times like on full moons or at yoga class, you are not understanding how reality works. Your mind is creating this reality and guiding you to where you need to be. When you let it wander, succumb to temptation, or allow yourself to start on a path that isn’t for you, then you will find that the journey gets harder. But it doesn’t need to be.

You always had the power to change everything.
