Is It a Scammer or a Twin Flame?

It’s a situation more difficult to navigate than you might imagine.

Twin flames and scammers can both create hypnotic, intense encounters. I’ve had a handful of clients who come to me to speak about their twin flame experiences, and it sounds to me like a situation where they’re being scammed. These are very intelligent and thoughtful people, and they’re in love. It’s a strange situation when you feel like the person who has opened your heart completely may only be in it to get money out of you.

I am going to tell you why money is such an interesting aspect of some twin flame stories, and how to tell the difference between a twin flame and a scammer on the internet.

Twin Flames and Money

Many twin flame stories involve a strange aspect of money. If your twin flame experience is intertwined with your use of money, likely it is a necessary lesson from the universe to reform your relationship with it.

Some people need to spend money for their twin flame to connect with them. This can manifest in different ways. Maybe they’ve spent thousands of dollars to pay their medical bills, or maybe the person is a type of escort. You could be supporting them financially. The way you’ve met or come together may be heavily dependent on your monetary resources — and that brings up all kinds of doubts and fears about your self-worth.

Are you still worthy of love if you have no money? The answer should be yes — and your twin flame is here to teach you how to get to a state of great self-love by giving you this difficult situation to figure out.

Twin Flames Who Are Also Scammers

I also believe that someone can be both your twin flame and a scammer. When your twin flame is someone who finds you online and uses your desire for love to get money from you, it can be maddening if you’re also having a spiritual awakening because of meeting them. They may actually be your twin flame. If they are real people, then they can have twin flames, too — they also have huge lessons to learn. And they likely desperately seek love, too.

Remember, twin flames are mirrors and come to teach you deep soul lessons. If the lesson you needed required you to release an attachment to money — or to value it differently — then likely, your twin flame is here to teach you that.

Alternatively, they may be mirroring the aspect of you that is scamming yourself. In this case, you need to look within.

When It’s Just a Scammer (Not a Twin Flame)

There are scammers who would love to convince you that you’re twin flames if it will increase the chances of you sending them thousands of dollars. I have had several clients who face this situation. And it’s not as clear as you think — these people are very convincing. And it can also be a catalyst for a lot of awakening and self-healing without being a twin flame.

When they just want your money, this is not a real twin flame experience, but it is still a lesson from the universe. It may challenge your ability to discern real love from someone using you — a boundary your soul needs to learn now. I strongly believe that you shouldn’t send a stranger on the internet thousands of dollars, even your twin flame.

How to Know a Scammer From a Twin Flame

A real twin flame will feel an inexplicable pull toward you. They have a deep soul bond with you. They will want to be with you. They may also want your money, but it won’t be all about this.

Many scammers are very clever and can simulate an experience of a deep connection. How can you tell if it’s the real deal? They won’t keep asking for money, for one thing. Also, most people — even twin flames — don’t ask someone they’ve never met for thousands of dollars (or even hundreds).

My twin flame felt a lot of shame in asking me to help him out with some bills, and I did without question. It was only a few hundred dollars. I knew there was a real connection there, and I’d met him already. I knew where to find him if I needed to. But I was also taking a risk. I understand how this is a grey area with others whose twin flames ask for money.

A real twin flame will meet you in person. They’ll video chat with you with the camera on. They won’t make up wild and unlikely stories about their work, preventing them from calling you on the phone or FaceTime. Real twin flames feel a pull at some point — often the beginning of the relationship. They need to be in person together with you. Not just talking about it and finding a multitude of excuses not to do it, but to actually do it — before asking for money.

Don’t Give Away Your Money to Strangers

These scammers make me mad. They target vulnerable people with big hearts. They are snakes — they’ll say anything to increase the chances of you sending them money. They can mesmerize their victims into believing they are having a spiritual experience with them. They are masters of deception.

I’d like to end here by urging anyone reading this not to send money to someone you’ve never met on the internet.
