I find that the more you elevate your consciousness, the more you see yourself in others. Some people arrive in your life that really show you the darkest side of yourself, and they teach you how to come back to the light. Some people arrive to show you the expansive love within you. They remind you of why you’re here. But as you get closer to love, the number of people entering your life who mirror your own love back at you increases. The more we learn to love, the more we find our mirror souls.
This is what I’ve recently noticed, anyway. I have been on a healing journey — as always, it seems — and I see that the more resilient I get with the ebbs and flows of my life, the more loving people seem to find me. It’s so fulfilling.
As we get better at healing and staying in the light of love, we get better at handling the souls who mirror our darkness. We learn to shine a light on others so that we can mirror back their best parts. It’s a dance of mirror souls
In the past year, I discovered the concept of twin flames and met mine. Since then, I have decided that one twin flame may not be all that there is to experience. Twin flames mirror you deeply. But the more we heal and understand our true nature, the deeper we can go with mirroring. I certainly think that you can have more than one “twin” flame. Triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets….or even higher things where the experience doubles down and you are facing a representation of your eternal soul through a human relationship.
Embrace the Lessons
Reality shifts. Nothing stays the same. If you’re hanging onto an old way of doing things and resisting the flow of change, then you’re denying yourself the full pleasure of new lessons and experiences which will inevitably find you.
As you progress in the path of your life, the situations that meet you will match your current energy exactly. If you’re feeling low, then people feeling low will find you, and if you’re trying to shine your light, then people who are also trying to shine will arrive.
I try to embrace the current events of my life, whatever they may be, as the exact lesson I need at that time. The universe and all the divine forces that are at a higher level of consciousness know better than me. In this script of life, I might have written it differently with my narrow view of it all, but there is always going to be a surprise in the plot. I meet surprises now with the intent to learn what they’ve come to teach me.
Don’t run from the lessons or act as if you know better. Roll with the punches. Surf the waves of life. When you start to feel like you’re drowning, try to swim back toward the light right away.
See Yourself in Others
Anger, sadness, and fear keep us feeling separate from others. These emotions stifle us. They smother our innate ability to see the love and oneness in the world.
Don’t let the low emotions blind you.
Recently, I have been to hell and back with the lessons. The whole past year has felt like an endless string of tower moments.
When you acquire the ability to constantly see yourself in others around you, you’ve unlocked the key to happiness. All people seem wonderful, even the ones cutting you off in traffic and the ones hurting you behind your back. You can learn to see the ways others mirror you. See yourself in them and them in you.
See Yourself as the Same
Think of all the qualities you don’t like in the people around you right now. Are they arrogant, selfish, rude, fearful, or hurtful? Are they sad, lonely, or angry? Think of these for a moment. Yes, they are annoying at times. Which of them are you also embodying or have you embodied before?
Every human is familiar with all emotions. We experience and express them differently, but we are familiar, innately. We have the ability to feel empathy because we know what feelings feel like. There is no reason to feel separate from others, even in their worst moments.
I have had low moments where I am so blinded by anger or sadness that I can’t see how the people around me care for me. I stop believing we are connected and I live in fear for a little while. (It used to be a lot more often.) With a constant vigilance of where my emotions are taking me and the ability to stop them from dragging me into darkness, I’ve conquered this cycle. I have to grab onto the ropes of love that can take me back up to the light, but it isn’t always easy. Regular meditation practice is essential. I try to remember that all beings are mirroring me, and they can teach me so much if I stay open.
Generosity, kindness, protection, and gratitude surround you. Sometimes it’s hard to notice these things when we’re in our own feelings of separation. But when you change your approach to the world — and bring love and oneness wherever you go — you will feel the connection to the expressions of love that the humans you’re with are bringing to life.
