I recently had a run-in with the real world. I usually live “under a rock”, as people like to say. I try to curate my interactions so that I don’t take in any negativity or hate. But I decided to speak out on social media one day about how humanity is destroying itself. And as if to prove my point, dozens of people commented on this reel out of anger and hate. I was talking about saving humanity and they couldn’t stand it.

They expressed hate toward me, a stranger, by bringing in politics, my physical appearance, conspiracy theories, and all kinds of insults that made it seem like I was living in a fantasy world for believing that humanity can be good. We can change, right? There’s a shred of hope left, right?

Self-Aggression Is Killing Us

To express such hatred for another human is only an expression of hatred for the self. We are all one. Humanity is in this together. But my video wasn’t even just about the physical connection between all living things — the world that we share — it was the mental connection that worried me the most — and still does. We actively choose to engage in spiritual warfare with each other, cutting strangers down and attaching to negative emotions about each other.

If we are choosing to be mentally separate from each other — denying the significance of other human beings and only focusing on our small social circles — then we can never solve our problems. It is gonna take all of us to do it. We all have to see the part we’re playing in the whole.

Consciousness must be elevated first before the physical planet can be healed.

Excuses for Killing Ourselves

Humans are strange beasts. We destroy ourselves (our own species) and then say it’s justified. The excuses for self-destructive behavior that I found in the responses to my reel fall into three categories:

  1. Our own families are all that matters and we have to just focus on their survival.
  2. By the time the destruction makes life too uncomfortable to go on, we won’t be alive anyway, so it doesn’t matter.
  3. It’s someone else’s problem, not ours.
  4. One individual can’t make an impact so it’s pointless to even try.

The ego will scramble to find ridiculous distractions from imminent catastrophe because humanity is in trouble and it’s too painful to look at. But we must stop making excuses!

We live here and we’re part of a species, so it’s some kind of really wild cognitive dissonance to be able to stand up and yell out that destroying everything is totally fine.

Love and Connection Are All That Matter

Most species have an investment in their survival beyond their individual lifetime. But not humans, apparently. According to my angry viewers on social media, survival is not what it’s cracked up to be. We instead attach to hatred toward each other and prioritize that over solutions. I think this means we aren’t really the most intelligent beings on the planet.

Love is all that matters, you know. Finding peace and joy in coexistence is the challenge right now. The real devastation going on in humanity is at a conscious level, not a physical one. We are in denial of our connection with the rest of existence. When we deny that, we start to think that our choices have no impact on anyone or anything. It couldn’t be further from the truth, especially on an energetic level. We’re deeply connected.

People Are Broken and Sad

Beyond this, people are broken. They don’t seem to seek love. Maybe it’s always been this way, or maybe it’s new. Masses of people will fight for mindless, surface-level pleasures that fulfill no one. Our modern society paves the way for everyone to seek selfish enjoyment.

Temporary happiness leaves a sour taste in our mouths because it isn’t love. It doesn’t make a lasting impact.

People don’t even know that love exists anymore. Messages blasted at us all the time let us know that we should be seeking anything but love. It’s all about consumerism. That extends to human beings, too. We shop for comforts of all kinds, from groceries in the fridge to sofas in our living rooms to companionship in our lives. Then we forget that relationships are to be cultivated and not viewed as disposable.

So, we need to help others. If you’ve had an awakening and you understand the dire situation we’re in, then it’s time to take action. Do something — speak out, spread love, help people — and little by little, we can heal the collective mind of humanity. The physical healing of the planet will follow.
