The method I use is simple, but it requires practice.
Most of us listen only to the loud and authoritative voice of our ego-minds. Inside every one of us, there is a whole world of thoughts and feelings mixed with wisdom and divine inspiration. But to hear the latter two, one must find a way to cut through the former two.
As a professional psychic, I’ve honed my ability to hear a voice beyond the noise of my ego. The ego loves to intellectualize everything. It applies logic to situations and wants everything to make sense. Any messages that you get from the voice of the ego within you will seem practical and sensible.
As the ego deals in security and fears, it constructs logical thoughts for your mind that are disguised as wisdom. These thoughts are strong, and they’ll often fight to stay in control of your consciousness. This is why it’s so hard to tap into your intuition. There’s a thick layer of ego-minded fog that keeps you from having inner clarity.
You must listen to the little voice, not the loud one. It’s not straightforward. There’s no instruction manual. To even grasp how to do this, one must first embark on an inner journey.
You have to learn to identify the source of wisdom and divine guidance. The inspiration that comes from beyond will be quieter and very subtle. It’s not logical. The “weird” visions or messages you get are from that little voice. When you “just know” something about someone’s energy, the future, or a situation, for example, it may not make any sense to you or others around you.
Cassandra from Greek mythology represents this idea. She tried to warn the Trojans that the Greek warriors were hiding inside the Trojan Horse, but they didn’t believe her. It’s a blessing and a curse to be able to tap into intuitive wisdom.
When you clearly hear the “little voice” of your intuition, you may try to help or warn others. But be aware that they may not listen. Since the messages don’t seem to make logical sense, the minds of others won’t readily latch onto them. They may only recognize intuitive wisdom in hindsight.
How does one cut through the noise of the mind and listen to the intuition? It takes practice. I believe there’s no better way than to meditate. When you meditate, you become familiar with all the different voices. You learn how to recognize a message that you can trust. You get to deeply know the self, which is invaluable on many levels.
So, meditate and listen deeply. Learn to trust the “weird” messages. Make friends with the voice of the ego-mind and then let it subside so you can hear past it.
