The only thing that holds you back from the life of your dreams is your own mind. But don’t be hard on yourself — the mind is powerful, and for many of us, not totally within our control. I know that sounds so weird, but it’s the truth. We get ourselves into negative emotional and mental cycles, and before we know it, the mind is reeling out of control and actually ends up controlling you. The sooner you understand that your mind creates your reality, the sooner you can start to change it.
I’ve been to the dark side and back, as I’m sure you have. We all have. Often, when we hit rock bottom — and I’m talking mentally, physically, and spiritually — we have no other choice but to take that control back. We start to understand the parameters and functions of our own minds. We start to re-program it — writing a new story for ourselves, simply because we have no choice.
I am here to help you do that. When you hit rock bottom, there’s no way to go but up.
That’s when we find out that the mindset is everything. You create your reality.
The term “mindset is everything” is so incredibly cliche that I am almost embarrassed to say it here. But it’s true.
You probably aren’t even aware of the extent to which you’ve imprisoned yourself inside your own mind. Your thoughts are following a pattern, and it may be the only thing you’ve ever known. But you can break free.
You can find a pattern of thoughts that only brings you joy, unlocks your potential, and believes only in miracles. With a sunny outlook, you will start to realize that anything is possible at any moment. As this becomes a habitual thought and replaces all of the fearful thoughts you’ve had, the world just seems to open up. The universe starts to respond to your new vibrational energy and it will match it. The things you didn’t think were possible because you had a certain mental pattern will suddenly seem real.
For instance, you may think that only hard work brings abundance. Or you may think that you must follow a certain career in order to be successful and happy. You may believe that the world is random, so it doesn’t matter if I have wicked or loving thoughts, I’ll get whatever is coming either way. These are examples of thoughts that happen when you’re in a lack mindset.
You can rewrite the script. I do it with meditation. You can do it, too. But it takes a lot of intention and willpower. You have to believe that the world can be a beautiful and loving place. You may have to battle against yourself for some time.
Battling your own shadows is no easy feat.
What’s especially hard about it is that the world around you will push back. People will tell you to be afraid, be very afraid. People will try to convince you to think negatively the way they do. The news media also doesn’t help at all. Even other spiritually-inclined people are often full of fear. You have to learn to discern the love-based thoughts from the fear-based ones on your own.
With time and practice, it becomes easier. You’ll eventually fall into alignment and you’ll know how to trust the universe.
